Sculptures made of wood

Wood is a distinctive material that comes from a living being. No two lives are ever the same. I approach what I find with respect, as it often bears traces of a long existence. My “dance with the material” is an exploration, guided by curiosity, of what is unique—both in the wood itself and in the inner images that emerge during the creative process. In this way, the act of uncovering the wood and working my way down to the heartwood reveals something of the beauty of the material and my inner world, inviting viewers to form their own reflections.
